twenty-three

so... today is my birthday. i'm working. but, that's alright. i get out at 3pm, then mason and i are going to the tanana valley alaska state fair. they better have elephant ears, that's all i go to fairs for.. and they didn't have them at the midnight sun festival here in fairbanks. bah.
after the fair we will be heading to ivory jack's... that's the bar at the end of our road... i love it there... lots of old drunk men playing gutar, and a small bit of college kids... it's pretty great. not cheap, but great none the less. we'll be gong there to party or something like that. mason plays there on saturdays, so that should be fun. and i have tomorrow off, so i plan on drinking a lot. i never let myself.

i miss people at home. i remember 2 years ago.. on my 21st birthday... that was a good day. last years bday we didn't do anything... but 2 years ago... good times. halei and i went to twingo's and i drank wine... then we went to eloise, then we got rolling rock and drank at garret's house. that night... we went tothe hey mercedes show, where i got kicked out for going tothe boys bathroom to tell garrett that my song was being played. bastards. kicked me out without my friends knowing... it was still one of my best birthdays ever. halei made birthdays great. so did detroit in general. i haven't had a great bday since i left.

ah well. maybe today won't be too bad.
